McCormick Steps Down as Beloit College Women’s Basketball Coach

June 24, 2016

Beloit, WI – Beloit College’s Women’s Basketball coach, Jennifer McCormick, has resigned from her position after leading the program for the last five seasons.

Since 2011 thru this past season, McCormick led the Bucs while coaching two of the top players in the program’s history in Lauren McNanna and Lana Wieseman.  The Buccaneers consistently competed with the top teams in the Conference, with the 2015-16 squad finishing with the most wins for the program since 2009-10.

“We’re sad to see Jennifer leave the Buccaneers,” said Schmiechen.  “She is a tireless worker with tremendous integrity. She has built a strong, competitive program that the College has always been proud of.  She was especially successful in building a culture on her team where her players have become leaders throughout campus. We wish her the best of luck with her new coaching position.”

A national search for McCormick’s replacement will begin immediately.
