Vikings Over Bucs In Three Straight

Appleton, WI -- The Bucs traveled to Lawrence University for a late-night, mid-week MWC matchup tonight, Tuesday, October 10th. The Vikings were too much for the Bucs, as Beloit fell to Lawrence in three straight, (25-13)(25-14)(25-20).

The loss sends the Bucs to 6-13 Overall, and 1-3 in MWC. Lawrence moves to 9-12 Overall, 4-1 in MWC play. 

While earning 3 more attack attempts than Lawrence (102-99), the Vikings made quick work of the Bucs, as the entire match was just over an hour long.

Leading the way for the Bucs were two seniors, Taylor Lewis and Jaylan Dunn. Lewis, Dunn, and Sophomore Chloe Fleming chipped in 7 kills for Beloit. 

Libero Abby Gessell and Shelby Strehlow lead the defensive efforts for Beloit, earning 13 and 12 digs, respectively.

Freshman Aryssa Harris seemed to be around the ball all night long, finishing with 3 kills, and having her hand in a team leading 22 attacks. Harris also chipped in 3 digs for her efforts in 3 sets.

The Bucs have a couple days off, and return to the friendly confines of Flood Arena this weekend. Beloit welcomes the Ripon Redhawks to the Sports Complex on Saturday, October 14th. The pivotal MWC game is scheduled to begin at 1 PM.
