Men 4th, Women 9th at Wisconsin Private Meet; Gutierrez a Double Winner

Ripon, WI -- The Beloit College Track & Field team continued the early part of their Outdoor season Saturday at the Wisconsin Private College Meet, held at Ripon College.

Jose Gutierrez was a double winner for the Buccaneers, crossing the line first in both the 110m and 400m Hurdles.  

Getting third-place finishes for Beloit were Dan Arkes in the 5000m; Matthew Miller in the 110m Hurdles; Alberto Torres in the 3000m Steeplechase; and Dakotah Revai in the Hammer.

Also earning points for the Bucs were Ellie Waddle, fifth in the 800m; Miranda Simes, fifth in the 3000m Steeplechase; Charles Sanberg, fifth in the 800m; Brendon Taylor, fifth in the Shot Put; Revai, fifth in the Javelin; Jack Klobucar, sixth in the 1500m; Miller, sixth in the 400m Hurdles; Jourdan Plautz, seventh in the 100m; Melissa Pelkey, seventh in the 800m; Noah Sisson, seventh in the 3000m Steeplechase; Gutierrez, seventh in the Long Jump; Emily Sneed, eighth in the 5000m; Britney Johnson, eighth in the Pole Vault; and Miller, eighth in the Pole Vault.

The Men's 4x100m Relay was second, the Women's and Men's 4x400m Relay both fourth, and the Women's 4x100m Relay fifth.

Beloit heads to the Benedictine Relays next weekend in Lisle, Illinois.
