Chicago, IL -- The Beloit College Indoor Track & Field team opened the February portion of their season at the University of Chicago Windy City Invite, with the Women finishing 10th of 13 teams while the Men were 11th of 12.
Jose Gutierrez won the 60m Hurdles to lead the Bucs, topping two hurdles from Loyola University.
Elle Waddle finished third in the 3000m, coming within three seconds of the Beloit Indoor record. Aleeshah Heinzen was third in the Triple Jump.
Other top-eight finishes for the Bucs were turned in by Jason Dormon, tied for sixth in the High Jump; Heinzen, sixth in the Long Jump; Gutierrez, eighth in the 400m; Dan Arkes, eighth in the 3000m; and Dewight Walker, eighth in the Triple Jump.
Beloit heads to the UW-Platteville Invite next Saturday, with action beginning at 11:00 a.m.
