Somers, WI -- The Beloit College Indoor Track & Field team put some good performances together at the UW-Parkside Home Opener Saturday, with the Men's team finishing third and the Women's fourth.
Aleeshah Heinzen (Triple Jump), Brenden Taylor (Shot Put), Dakotah Revai (Weight Throw), the Women's 4x800m Relay, and the Men's 4x200m Relay all posted first-place finishes at the meet.
Earning seconds were Linnae Capuder in the Pole Vault; Jose Gutierrez in the 55m Hurdles; and Ethan Harycki in the Weight Throw. Coming in third were Heinzen in the Long Jump; Forrest Lloyd in the 3000m; and Taylor in the Weight Throw.
Also earning points for the Bucs were Heinzen, fourth in the 55m and fifth in the 200m; Noah Sisson, fourth in the 3000m; Rebekah Evans, fifth in the Weight Throw and eighth in the Shot Put; Harycki, fifth in the Shot Put; Megan O'Meara, sixth in the Shot Put and Weight Throw; Joe Peacock, sixth in the 3000m; Jacob Cunningham, sixth in the 55m Hurdles; Revai, sixth in the Shot Put; Michael Strawbridge, sixth in the Weight Throw and eighth in the Shot Put; Moi Yamazaki, seventh in the Long Jump; Dan Arkes, seventh in the 800m; and Joanna Furlan, eighth in the Mile.
The Women's 4x200m and 4x400m Relays finished second, as did the Men's Distance Medley Relay. The Men's 4x400m Relay was third.
Beloit is back on the track next weekend, as the teams split up for meets at UW-Whitewater. On Friday the Men compete at the "Squig" Converse Invite beginning at 5:00 p.m. Saturday the Women are at the Warhawk Classic Invite beginning at 12 noon.
