Galesburg, IL -- The Beloit College Track & Field team broke three school records and added three more All-Midwest Conference performances on the second and final day of the 2016 MWC Indoor Championships Saturday.
The Women's team held the fifth-place spot they had after day one in the final standings. The Men jumped up two spots from day one with a seventh-place team finish.
The Women's Distance Medley Relay of Ellie Waddle, Sophia Miliotis, Melissa Pelkey and Emma Koenig broke the first record of the day, topping the 2015 mark of 12:54.53 with an All-MWC second place time of 12:50.65.
George Gray broke his own record, set earlier this season, in the 800m with a 1:55.94 fourth-place finish.
The Men's 4x400m Relay of Matt Kreiser, George Gray, Jack Klobucar and Jose Gutierrez broke the 2006 record of 3:28.58 in the final event of the day, finishing fourth in 3:28.10.
In addition to the Women's Distance Medley Relay, Aleeshah Heinzen earned All-MWC honors with a runner-up finish in the Triple Jump and the Men's Distance Medley Relay of George Gray, Kreiser, Klobucar and Jacob Gray earned All-MWC laurels with a third-place finish.
Also scoring points for the Bucs Saturday were George Gray, fifth in the high jump; Gutierrez, fifth in the 60m Hurdles; Koenig, fifth in the 3000m; the Women's 4x400m Relay of Waddle, Pelkey, Miliotis and Heinzen, fifth; Waddle, sixth in the 800m; Linnae Capuder, seventh in the Pole Vault; and Pelkey, seventh in the 800m.
