Final Tune-Up for MWCs has Both Team 6th in Oshkosh

Oshkosh, WI -- The Beloit College Track & Field team competed in their final indoor meet Saturday before next weekend's Midwest Conference Championships, with both squads finishing sixth at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Challenge.

Jose Gutierrez grabbed second-place points in the 60m Hurdles while the Women's 4x400m Relay of Ellie Waddle, Melissa Pelkey, Sophia Miliotis and Aleeshah Heinzen also crossed the line in second for the Buccaneer's top finishes on the day.

Also getting points for the Bucs were the Women's 4x200m Relay of Jourdan Plautz, Angie Earley, Abby Gessell and Pelkey, third; Jamie Manchen, fourth in the Mile; Heinzen, fourth in both the Long Jump and Triple Jump; Dewight Walker, sixth in the Triple Jump; Waddle, sixth in the 400m; the Men's 4x200m Relay of Sean Beckford, Brian Alcorn, Walker and Courtney Bingham, seventh; Dan Arkes, eighth in the Mile; and Emma Koenig, eighth in the 800m.

Beloit travels to Knox College next weekend for the MWC Indoor Championships.  Action begins at 1:00 p.m. Friday afternoon and at 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
