Both Squads 7th at Windy City Rumble; Waddle, Dormon Set Records

Chicago, IL -- The Beloit College Indoor Track & Field team brought home a pair of seventh-place finishes and two new school records from the University of Chicago Windy City Rumble Saturday.

Ellie Waddle broke Karen Jones' 2015 mark in winning the 3000m with a 10:35.07 while Jason Dormon broke his own record in the prelims of the 60m with a :07.35.

Posting the other win for the Bucs was the Men's 4x400m Relay team of Matt Kreiser, Jose Gutierrez, George Gray and Jack Klobucar, narrowly missing the Beloit record with a 3:29.53.

Other top-eight finishers on the day were Jamie Manchen, second in the 5000m; Aleeshah Heinzen, second in the Triple Jump; Gutierrez, third in the 60m Hurdles; the Men's Distance Medley Relay of George Gray, Brian Alcorn, Klobucar and Alberto Torres, third; Natalie Dusek, fourth in the 5000m; Linnae Capuder, fourth in the Pole Vault; Courtney Bingham, fifth in the 60m Hurdles; Kreiser, sixth in the 60m Hurdles; Khusrav Mahkormov, sixthe in the 5000m; Heinzen, seventh in the Long Jump; Brenden Taylor, seventh in the Shot; Dakotah Revai, seventh in the Weight Throw; Mingyi Zhang, eighth in the 3000m; Dan Arkes, eighth in the 3000m; and Dewight Walker, eighth in the Triple Jump.

The Buccaneers travel to UW-Platteville for the UW-Platteville Invite next Saturday.  Action begins at 11:00 a.m.
