Platteville, WI -- The Beloit College Indoor Track & Field team brought home a number of good performances from the non-scoring UW-Platteville Select on Saturday.
Ellie Waddle had the best finish with a win in the 800m while Karen Jones equaled her school record in the 3000m with a fourth-place finish in 10:46.95. Anna Wenzel was second in the 5000m, Rachel Monroe third in the Triple Jump and Mingyi Zhang third in the 5000m to lead the Women.
George Gray was second in the Mile and Simon Kafka third in the 3000m for the top individual performances by the Men.
Other top-eight Women's finishers were Emma Koenig, seventh in the 3000m; Emily Sneed, seventh in the 800m; and Caroline Murton, eighth in the 800m
The Women's Distance Medley Relay of Sara DeLong, Nadia Hecker-O'Brien, Sara Brown and Sneed was second; the Women's 4x200m Relay of Jourdan Plautz, Karly Clippinger, Katia Nonet and Jada Viner was fourth; and the 4x400m Relay of Hecker-O'Brien, Deja Parker, DeLong and Waddle was sixth.
Also earning top-eight individual finishes for the Men were Matt Kreiser, seventh in the 60m Hurdles and Bellande Bertrand, seventh in the Weight Throw.
The Men's 4x200m Relay of Jordan Garcia, Kreiser, Dewight Walker and Sean Beckford was second; the Men's Distance Medley Relay of Beckford, Diego Bueno, Geoff Stevens and Josh Smith was third; aa was the 4x400m Relay of Beckford of Beckford, Garcia, Gray and Kreiser.
The Buccaneers head North next week for the UW-Oshkosh Titan Challenge. Action begins at 10:00 a.m.
