Buccaneer Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams Recognized for Academic Excellence

Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Swimming & Diving team, under head coach Kevin Schober, had both the Women's and Men's teams recognized as the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced its academic awards for the 2017 Fall semester.

A record 688 teams, representing 430 institutions, have been named College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Teams.  The awards are in recognition of teams’ that achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. 

The Buccaneer Women's team had a 3.66 cumulative GPA to tie for 7th-highest with two other teams among NCAA Division III teams across the nation.  They were one of six Midwest Conference Women's teams honored along with Knox (3.80), Ripon (3.28), Lawrence (3.46), Grinnell (3.49) and Lake Forest (3.36).

The Buccaneer Men had a 3.08 GPA, joining MWC teams Grinnell (3.37), Lake Forest (3.12), Knox (3.22) and Lawrence (3.03).

The Bucs continue their season this Saturday, Feb. 3rd with their final home meet of the season vs. Knox College at 1:00pm.
