Men Finish 7th, Women 8th as MWC Championships End

Grinnell, IA -- The Beloit College Swimming & Diving season came to a close Sunday night as the Men's team finished seventh and the Women's team eighth on the final day of the Midwest Conference Swimming & Diving Championships, held at Grinnell College.

The host school was repeat winners in both meets.

Joe Stephenson posted the top individual finish on the final day for the Buccaneers with a ninth in the 100 Free.  Tenth-place finishes were turned in by Amalia Dolan in the 1650 Free; Katrina Dwyer in the 200 Back; and Aaron Jolly in the 200 Fly.

Also earning top-16 finishes for the Bucs were Meshach Roberts, 11th in the 1650 Free and 200 Back; Alex Kohn, 11th in the 200 Back; Matt Shea, 11th in the 200 Fly and 15th in the 1650 Free; Tommy Silk, 12th in the 200 Back; Hannah Devereux, 13th in the 200 Breast and 16th in the 1650 Free; Dwyer, 14th in the 1650 Free; Emma Frothingham, 15th in the 200 Breast; Johnny Li, 15th in the 200 Breast; and Heather Warner, 16th in the 200 Breast.

The Men's 400 Free Relay of Kyle May, Jolly, Li and Karl Weiler were seventh and the Women's 400 Free Relay of Kennedy, Dolan, Kohn and Devereux were eighth.

Devereux, Dolan, Frothingham, Maddy Stein, May and David Ortiz all competed in their final meet for the Bucs.
