Grinnell, IA -- The Beloit College Swimming & Diving team continued their good performances from the first day into day two of the Midwest Conference Championships with another school record Saturday.
The Buccaneer Men jumped up a spot in the team standings and now sit sixth. The Women remain in eighth.
After breaking the 400 Medley Relay record Friday morning, the same foursome of Meshach Roberts, Johnny Li, Tommy Silk and Jon Stephenson added the 200 Medley Relay record, finishing fourth in the event in 1:39.89 to top the previous record of 1:42.12 set by Duvall, C. Seidel, Maiken and Hyland in 2008.
Silk also turned in the top individual performance of the day with an eighth in the 100 Fly while Katie Kennedy posted the best finish for the Women in the two days of the meet with a ninth in the 100 Fly.
Also grabbing points on day two for the Bucs were Alex Kohn, 10th in the 100 Back; Karl Weiler, 10th in the 400 IM; Hannah Devereux, 11th in the 100 Breast; Silk, 11th in the 100 Back; Li, 11th in the 400 IM; Stephenson, 12th in the 200 Free; Roberts, 12th in the 100 Back; Emma Frothingham, 13th in the 400 IM; Li, 13th in the 100 Breast; Frothingham, 14th in the 100 Breast; Aaron Jolly, 14th in the 100 Fly; Kyle May, 15th in the 100 Fly; and Matt Shea, 16th in the 100 Fly.
The Women's 800 Free Relay (Kennedy, Amalia Dolan, Katrina Dwyer, Kohn), Women's 200 Medley Relay (Kohn, Devereux, Kennedy, Dwyer) and Men's 800 Free Relay (Silk, Roberts, Jolly, Stephenson) all finished sixth.
The Championships conclude on Sunday, with prelims beginning at 9:00 a.m. and finals at 4:00 p.m.
