Buccaneer Women, Men Fall in Dual at Loras

Dubuque, IA -- The Beloit College Swimming & Diving team competed in a dual at Loras College Friday night, with the Women falling to the Duhawks 118-64 and the Men 126-78.

The Women were led by a pair of wins, with Katie Kennedy touching first in the 100 Free and the 200 Free Relay of Maddy Stein, Katrina Dwyer, Lily Calvert and Heather Warner also finishing first.

Swimming second were Kennedy in the 50 Free; Dwyer in the 1000 Free; Alex Kohn in the 100 Back; Warner in the 100 Breast; and the 200 Medley Relay of Kohn, Hannah Devereux, Kennedy and Amalia Dolan.

The Men had three winners as Meshach Roberts took both the 1000 Free and 100 Back and Aaron Jolly the 100 Fly.

Earning second place finishes were Joe Stephenson in the 50 and 100 Free; Matt Shea in the 500 Free; Roberts in the 200 IM; the 200 Free Relay of Jolly, Max Moderski, Shea and Karl Weiler; and the 200 Medley Relay of Shea, Weiler, Kyle May and Stephenson.

Beloit competes at the Wisconsin Private Schools Meet next Saturday at Carthage College in Kenosha.  Action begins at 12:00 noon.
