Two More BC Records Fall on Final Day of MWCs; Both Teams Finish 7th

Grinnell, IA -- The Beloit College Swimming & Diving team saw two more school records fall while both the Men's and Women's teams finished seventh as the Midwest Conference Swimming & Diving Championships wrapped up Sunday.

Meshach Roberts got the action off to a great start for the Bucs, breaking the 200 Back record in the prelims with a 2:01.20.  He broke Rob Sjoberg's 2005 record of 2:05.50.  Roberts finished 10th in the event.

Later Sunday Alyssa Nichols broke the 1650 Free record originally set by Elizabeth Wielding in 2000 with a 19:01.97.  Wielding's 2000 time was 19:10.03.  Nichols finished ninth in the event.

Also securing points for the Buccaneers were the Men's 400 Free Relay of Aaron Jolly, Johnny Li, Roberts and Joe Stephenson in seventh; the Women's 400 Free Relay of Alex Kohn, Katrina Dwyer, Hannah Devereux and Dane Olesch in ninth; Olesch, 11th in the 200 Fly; Dwyer, 12th in the 1650 Free and 15th in the 200 Back; Matthew Shea, 13th in the 1650 Free; Kohn, 13th in the 200 Back; and Stephenson, 15th in the 100 Free.
