Grinnell, IA -- The Beloit College Swimming & Diving team got a record-setting performance during Day 2 of the Midwest Conference Championships, which ended with the Men in seventh and the Women eighth.
Dana Olesch broke her own 2014 100 Fly mark with a 1:00.17 seventh-place finish. Her previous mark was 1:00.50.
The Women's 200 Medley Relay of Alex Kohn, Hannah Devereux, Olesch and Alyssa Nichols finished sixth.
Other Buccaneer relay points came from the Men's 200 Medley Relay of Meshach Roberts, Johnny Li, Matthew Shea and Joe Stephenson in seventh and both the Men's and Women's 800 Free Relay in eighth in the final event of the day. The Men's team was Li, Shea, Max Modeski and Aaron Jolly while the Women's team was Nichols, Devereux, Natalie Gallagher and Katrina Dwyer;
Individually, points came from Roberts, 10th in the 100 Back; Stephenson, 11th in the 200 Free; Devereux, 13th in the 100 Breast; Kohn, 13th in the 100 Back; Jolly, 14th in the 400 IM; and Shea, 14th in the 100 Fly.
The final day of the Championships begins at 9:00 a.m. Sunday with prelims. Finals begin at 4:00 p.m.
