Men 6th, Women 8th After Day 1 of MWC Championships

Grinnell, IA -- The Beloit College Swimming & Diving team completed their first day at the Midwest Conference Swimming & Diving Championships Friday night with the Men's team in sixth place and the Women's in eighth.

Both the Men's and Women's 400 Medley Relay teams finished sixth for the top Beloit finish of the day.  The Men's team was Meshach Roberts, Johnny Li, Aaron Jolly and Joe Stephenson while the Women were Alex Kohn, Hannah Devereux, Dana Olesch and Alyssa Nichols.

The Men's 200 Free Relay team of Roberts, Jolly, Karl Weiler and Stephenson was seventh.

Individually, Stephenson had the top Men's finish with a 12th in the 50 Free while Nichols had the top Women's finish with a 16th in the 500 Free.

The Championships continue with Day 2 on Saturday, with prelims at 10 a.m. and finals at 5:30 p.m.
