Buc Swimmers Dominate in Senior Day Sweep

Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Swimming & Diving team gave their four seniors a great home finale Saturday in Kresge Natatorium, winning 23 of the 28 events against Knox College on the way to a dual-meet sweep that closed out the home season.

The Women won 140-95 while the Men won 155-63.  Seniors Meghan Caves, Shaunte Moss, Dana Olesch and Charles Spalding were recognized prior to the meet.

For the Women, Alyssa Nichols led the way with three wins, taking the 200 Free, 500 Free and 200 IM while Moss (100 Breast, 200 Breast) and Alex Kohn (100 Back, 50 Free) both won twice.  Hannah Devereuz (1000 Free), Katrina Dwyer (200 Back) and Olesch (100 Fly) also posted wins, as did the the Women's 200 Medley relay of Kohn, Moss, Olesch and Nichols.

On the Men's side Joe Stephenson posted three wins (200 Free, 50 Free, 100 Free) while Meshach Roberts (100 Back, 200 Back), Aaron Jolly (200 Fly, 200 Breast) and Johnny Li (100 Breast, 200 IM) all posted two victories.  Matthew Shea (100 Fly) also touched first, as did the Men's 200 Medley Relay of Spalding, Karl Weiler, Jolly and David Ortiz and the 200 Free Relay of Li, Max Moderski, Shea and Weiler.

The Buccaneers now point to the Midwest Conference Championships, running February 19-21 at Grinnell College.
