Norfolk, VA -- The Beloit College Swimming & Diving team, under head coach Kevin Schober, has received recognition from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for academic excellence during the Fall 2015 semester as a Scholar All-America Team.

The Buccaneer Women's team posted the second-highest Fall 2015 grade-point-average in NCAA Division III at 3.69, behind only Mount Holyoke College's (New York) 3.71.  Beloit was one of six Midwest Conference Women's teams honored, along with Grinnell (3.43), Knox (3.53), Lake Forest (3.17), Lawrence (3.42) and Ripon (3.67).

The Buccaneer Men had a 3.39 gpa, which tied for the tenth-highest in NCAA Division III.  Beloit and Grinnell (3.24) were the only two MWC Men's teams honored.

The Team Scholar All American Award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented twice annually, once for the Fall semester and again in the Spring to recognize teams achieving a 3.0 for the semester coinciding with the NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA/CCCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

A total of 547 collegiate teams were recognized, 40 more than a season ago.
