Buccaneer Swimming & Diving Opens Season at All-Wisconsin College Showcase

Brown Deer, WI -- The Beloit College Swimming & Diving team opened their 2015-16 season Saturday at the All-Wisconsin College Showcase, which was held at the Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center in suburban Milwaukee.

The non-scoring meet featured NCAA Division I, II and III teams from throughout the state, including UW-Milwaukee and UW-Green Bay as well as Midwest Conference and Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams.

Top finishes for the Buccaneer Women were turned in by Alyssa Nichols, 17th in the 500 Free; Dana Olesch, 28th in the 100 Fly; and Katrina Dwyer, 28th in the 500 Free.

For the Men Meshach Roberts had the top finish of the day for Beloit, a tie for 16th in the 200 Back.  Also with top team finishes were Joe Stephenson, 22nd in the 50 Free and Johnny Li, 24th in the 100 Breast.

The Buccaneers begin their dual meet season next Saturday at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.  Action begins at 1:00 p.m.
