Buccaneer Women's Swimming & Diving Ranks 7th in NCAA III for Academic Excellence

CSCAABeloit, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Swimming & Diving team, under head coach Kevin Schober, had the seventh highest grade-point-average among NCAA Division III schools as the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced its academic awards for the 2015 Spring semester.

The Team Scholar All American Award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams who have achieved a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented twice annually, once for the Fall semester and again in the Spring to recognize teams achieving a 3.0 for the semester coinciding with the NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA/CCCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

The Buccaneer Women's team had a 3.64 cumulative gpa to achieve their top-ten ranking.  They were one of five Midwest Conference teams honored along with Grinnell College (3.46), Lawrence University (3.33), Lake Forest College (3.29) and Ripon College (3.25).
