Buccaneer Swimming & Diving Earn Recognition for Academic Success

Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Swimming & Diving team, under head coach Kevin Schober, has received recognition from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for academic excellence during the Fall 2014 semester as a Scholar All-America Team.

The Team Scholar All American Award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented twice annually, once for the Fall semester and again in the Spring to recognize teams achieving a 3.0 for the semester coinciding with the NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA/CCCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

The Buccaneer Women's team ranked 14th in NCAA Division III with a 3.49 gpa.  They were one of four Midwest Conference teams honored, along with Grinnell College (3.50), Lake Forest College (3.28) and Ripon College (3.27),

The Men had a 3.07 gpa, joining Grinnell (3.30) and Ripon (3.22) as the only MWC teams recognized.
