Bucs Hold Spots as MWC Championships Finish Up

2015 MWC SW&D Championships LogoGrinnell, IA -- The Beloit College Swimming & Diving teams held their spots from yesterday - with the Men finishing fifth and the Women eighth - as the Midwest Conference Championships closed at Grinnell College on Sunday.

The 400 Free Relay teams had the best finishes for the Bucs on the final day, with the Men's foursome of Gavin Kratzke, Johnny Li, Austin Smith and Will McAneny coming in seventh and the Women's team of Dana Olesch, Amalie Dolan, Haleigh Thomas and Shaunte Moss touching in eighth.

Individual Beloit finishes included McAneny, 12th in the 100 Free; Hannah Devereux, 12th in the 1650 Free; Olesch, 13th in the 200 Fly; Kratzke, 13th in the 200 Back; and Li, 13th in the 200 Breast.

Nine Buccaneers competed for Beloit for the final time over the weekend:  Anna Freyfogle, Alicia Hoffman, Hannah Richter, Thomas, Kratzke, McAneny, Spencer Moore, Matt Sherrell, and Thomas Szamocki.
