Men Hold Fifth, Women Jump to Eighth after Day 2 of MWC Championships

Grinnell, WI -- The Beloit College Men's Swimming & Diving team held their fifth-place spot while the Women moved up a notch to eighth after day two of the Midwest Conference Swimming & Diving Championships at Grinnell College.

The Men's 200 Medley Relay of Gavin Kratzke, Johnny Li, Austin Smith and Will McAneney had the top Buccaneer finish for the day with a sixth.

The Men's 800 Free Relay of Matt Tarpinian, Charlie Hawks, Spencer Moore and Matt Sherrell was seventh.

Earning eighths were McAneney in the 400 IM, Shaunte Moss in the 100 Breast, Rutger Van Huber in 1-meter Diving, and the Women's 800 Free Relay of Haleigh Thomas, Dana Olesch, Amalie Dolan and Hannah Devereux.

Olesch was 11th in the 100 Fly and Smith 11th in the 100 Back.

The Championships conclude on Sunday.  Action begins with prelims at 9:00 a.m.
