The Beloit College Softball team will be hosting three clinics during the months of January and February. All clinics are geared toward fastpitch softball players in the third through 12th grades and will be held at the Beloit College Sports Center and Marvin Fieldhouse on campus.
The Pitching Clinic, which will be limited to 15 pitchers per session, is scheduled for Saturday, January 27th, with Beginning pitchers from 1:00-3:00pm and Advanced pitchers from 3:15-5:15p. The clinic will focus on all of the fundamental skills and mastering the three “S’s” of pitching – spin, spots and speed. Cost for the clinic is $40.
The Catching Clinic, which will be limited to 20 catchers, is scheduled for Sunday, January 28th from 1:00-4:00 p.m. The clinic will focus on all of the fundamental skills and catching strategies. Cost for the clinic is $40.
The Hitting clinic, which will be held on Sunday, February 11th, features two sessions and will be limited to 40 hitters per session. Session 1 is scheduled for 12:30-3:00 p.m. and is for 3rd-8th grade players. Session 2 is from 3:15-5:45pm and is for 8th-12th grade players. This year’s hitting clinic will focus on fundamentals and mechanics of hitting. The techniques of hitting and bunting will be covered along with Tee drills, soft toss drills, machine drills, working the count and how to develop strength as a hitter. Cost for the clinic is $40.
Participants receive a clinic t-shirt with registration fees.
