Grinnell, IA -- Beloit wasn't able to wake up the offense on the road, falling to MWC foe Grinnell College, 3-0.
It seemed as if "bus legs" were a problem this afternoon in Iowa, as Beloit was only able to muster 5 total shots, and 3 on goal against Grinnell.
Midfielder Jose Gutierrez, defender Jason Venzke, and midfielder Ben James were the only ones with shots for the Bucs, with Gutierrez and James getting their shots on frame.
The Bucs would withstand a 13 to 3 shot barrage from the Pioneers in the first frame - the defense would tighten down in the second, holding Grinnell without a goal, and only 9 shots.
In goal, Jere Bauer would again go the full 90 minutes, making 8 saves while allowing 3 saves.
Beloit falls to 3-5, and 0-1 in MWC. Turnaround is a quick one for the Bucs this weekend, as their MWC double-header sends them to Galesburg, Ill. to face the Knox College Prairie Fire tomorrow.
