Appleton, WI -- The Bucs finished the 2017 season on a high note, topping the Lawrence University Vikings 1-0. The win moves the Bucs to 5-10-1 overall, and 2-6-1 in MWC.
In a low shooting affair, possession and good looks at net were at a premium. Beloit would finish with only 6 shots on net, with Lawrence registering 7.
At the 29th minute, Jonathan Palmer would bury one past the Viking goalie for what would be the game-winner, off an assist from Jason Venzke.
In net, Senior goalie Jere Bauer would finish the shutout with 7 saves in 90 minutes. For the Vikings, AJ Bryant would make 5 saves throughout the course of the game, allowing the 1 goal.
This caps the 2017 season for the Beloit Men's Soccer Program.
