Beloit, WI -- In the make-up game of their originally scheduled contest, Beloit finished 110 minutes with Monmouth College and came away with a 2OT tie, 1-1, at Wedgebury Stadium in Rockford, Ill.
A high paced, back-and-forth affair with numerous looks at net and fierce competition, the first half ended scoreless.
In the 63rd minute, Beloit scratched the scoreless mark off the board, as Jose Gutierrez buried a PK past Fighting Scot goalkeeper Chase Stroud to go up 1-0.
With less than 3 minutes in the match, the Fighting Scots finally broke past the Buccaneer defensive back-line and stout goalkeeper Jere Bauer, as Lucas Sondegroth buried one. This goal would end up sending the game to OT, as neither team could find the game winner in the first 90 minutes of action.
In the first OT period, both Stroud and Bauer registered a save, keeping both teams off the board.
