The Beloit College men's lacrosse team was unable to overcome a first half surge at Elmhurst in a 20-9 loss on the road Tuesday night.
The Bucs doubled down on goals in the second half but were unable to overcome a 12-2 halftime deficit.

The first goal of the game went to Beloit on an own goal at the 11:17 mark. With time running down in the first quarter, Mark Gannon found the back of the net to make it 5-2 with 30 seconds left.
After a scoreless second, the Buccaneers scored the first two goals of the second half with Matt Lee and Nick Meisberger finding the back of the net just 30 seconds apart.
Elmhurst responded with two of their own before Lee and Kevin Joswiak struck for Beloit, this time just 31 seconds separated the goals.
In the fourth, Joswiak tallied his second goal of the game and twelfth of the season with 9:02 remaining. A late flurry resulted in two goals in the last minute for the Bucs, one from Dylan Levine from Lee before lee notched his third goal of the game with just 38 seconds left.
Nick Parker suffered the loss in net for Beloit recording 11 saves to move to 4-4 on the season.
The Bucs return to Strong Stadium to host Benedictine University Saturday at 1 p.m.
