Beloit, Wis. - After capturing their first regular season conference title in team history last year, the Beloit Men's Lacrosse Team began a search for new personnel following the departure of former assistant Buddy Reed. Serving as the lone assistant for 2 years under Coach Devoe, Reed moved on after the 2017 season to pursue a career in economic consulting, with a focus on environmental sciences.
Head Coach Rashad Devoe subsequently began a nationwide search to bring in a competitive group of new coaches looking to build upon the team's success in 2017. With the upcoming season fast approaching, Coach Devoe and the Men's Lacrosse Team would like to announce the arrival of assistant coaches Hunter and Blake Moore. The two brothers hail from Dallas, Texas and will look to bring their experience as Division III lacrosse players in order to add value to the up-and-coming program here at Beloit.
Coach Devoe on the Moore brothers: "I am extremely excited that we could land two top tier young coaches that have played at an amazingly high level. I know for a fact both of them have a ton of knowledge to give the young men on our team. Hunter was coached under the late great Jack Sandler so I know he has a lot to offer the team and Blake was coached by the incredible Jon Thompson so, again, I know he has some knowledge that will add value to this program. I have known both of these men for a long time and know that their character and work ethic is something that I want our team to see and emulate. It shows the growth of lacrosse in the midwest and how serious Beloit College takes lacrosse for us to have this caliber of coaching staff"
