Forestdale, MA -- Chris Anderson, a sophomore defender for the Beloit College Men's Lacrosse team from Amherst, Massachusetts, has been named Honorable Mention All-West Region by the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association. The recognition on the inaugural All-Region team was announced Thursday.
The All-Region teams were identified based on the All-Conference teams associated with all conferences sponsoring lacrosse. 195 student-athletes were honored from across NCAA Division III lacrosse.
Anderson, the MLC Defensive Player of the Week on April 11, finished with 60 ground balls and 34 caused turnovers, both second on the team. Twice he recorded six caused turnovers in a game, the second-most in Buccaneer history. He also finished with two goals and an assist.
Under first-year head coach Rashad Devoe, the Buccaneers finished 5-10 overall and 3-3 in Conference play, earning a second straight trip to the Midwest Lacrosse Conference Tournament.
