Baltimore, MD -- The Beloit College Men's Lacrosse team fell 17-1 to an experienced Goucher College squad on Thursday in their final game of a trip to Washington D.C. and Baltimore.
The Gophers led 7-0 after one period and 11-0 at the half. They were ahead 13-0 in the third quarter when Matt Kelly scored the lone Beloit goal at the 1:30 mark of the period. Goucher closed out the contest with four final goals in the fourth quarter.
John Murphy made 15 saves in goal for the Buccaneers while Jake Wallace had team highs with seven ground balls and five caused turnovers.
The Bucs will stop at Ohio Northern University on their way back, playing ONU on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. Eastern. After returning to Beloit, the Bucs have a few days before hosting Elmhurst College at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Strong Stadium.
