Milwaukee, WI -- The Beloit College Men's Basketball team put in a little extra time to win their 2015-16 season opener Saturday, a 77-74 overtime victory at Milwaukee School of Engineering.

The game was tight throughout the opening half, with six ties in the first 20 minutes.  MSOE grabbed a 36-30 lead at the break by scoring the final four points.

The Raiders continued to add to their lead in the second half, pushing it as high as 46-34 at the 15:51 mark with a 10-4 run out of the lockerroom.  But the Buccaneers put together a long 20-8 run to pull into a 54-all tie with 8:00 left.  Neither team had more than a two-point lead in the final eight minutes, with a free throw by MSOE with 1:33 remaining in regulation sending it to overtime.

In the extra period the Bucs took the lead for good 16 seconds in when Rudy Bentley made the first of his six overtime free throws.  The Raiders got within two at 76-74 with nine seconds left before another Bentley free throw sealed it.  MSOE's last-second three-pointer was off the mark.
