Beloit, WI -- Beloit welcomed the Lawrence University Vikings to Strong Stadium this afternoon for the 2017 Homecoming Game and Beloiter Days Weekend. Unfortunately, the Bucs were unable to shake the Vikings for a win for their last home game of the season, as Beloit fell to Lawrence 49-13.
Along with the football game, the Athletic Hall of Honor inducted 4 more members, welcoming Shellie Gazdik (Track and Field - class of 2004), Katherine Algrem-Feldner (Volleyball, Softball - class of 2007), Michael Flanagan (Men's Soccer - class of 2003) and Evan McLeod (Cross Country, Track and Field - class of 1999).
The afternoon went the way of the Vikings right away, as Lawrence was able to get on the board with 2:51 on the clock in the 1st quarter, and successfully tacked on 2 as their 2-PT attempt was good.
Going into the half, the Vikings would add 20 more points in the 2nd, also holding the Bucs scoreless for the 1st two quarters.
The 28 point lead the Vikings held after two quarters would end up being too much, as the Bucs were unable to mount a successful comeback.

Unfortunately for Beloit, the PAT from Andy Berlin would be blocked. Berlin would also have a FG attempt blocked in the 3rd quarter as well.
Sposito would account for the other Buccaneer offensive score, hitting Tyler Korous for a 12 yd score in the beginning of the 4th quarter. Korous' TD would bring the score to 42-13, Lawrence.
The Vikings would have the final score of the afternoon in Strong, as RB Caleb Catt found the endzone off a 7 yd run.
On defense, Jackson Modaff and Patrick Nicolas would lead the way, combining for 18 total tackles, with Modaff picking up a sack as well.
Sposito would finish the afternoon 10-25 for 58 yards in the air, and both Buccaneer TD's. Sposito would also add 68 on the ground for his hard work as well.
