Jones Earns Third Team All-West Region Honors

December 7, 2015

Beloit, WI -- Antonio Jones, a senior safety for the Beloit College Football team from Chicago, Illinois (Jones Hope College Prep), has been named to the Third Team on the 2015 All-West Region Team.  The team was announced late Monday.

Jones is one of seven Midwest Conference Football players named to the team.  He is the sixth Buccaneer to be named to the All-West Region squad, the first since Tony Baratti, Derek Carrier and Andrew Christensen were recognized in 2010.

A two-time First Team All-MWC selection, Jones led the Bucs in tackles with 87 and interceptions with five.  The 87 tackles were eighth-most in the MWC while the five interceptions were tied for fourth-most.  He also had three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.  A member of the Team of the Week on October 6, he finished his career with 280 tackles, sixth-most in Beloit history, and 10 interceptions, tied for fifth-most in program history.

The Buccaneers, under second-year head coach Seth Duerr, finished the 2015 season 3-7 overall, 1-4 in the MWC North Division.
