Beloit, WI – Beloit College Football head coach Seth Duerr, preparing for his second season with the Bucs, has released the schedule for the 2015 season.
For the second straight season, and the fourth time in six seasons, the Buccaneers open their season on the road. The Bucs will travel to River Forest, Illinois, to take on Concordia University Chicago on Saturday, September 5, at 1:00 p.m. It will be just the third meeting with the Cougars in the long history of Beloit Football, the first since the 1975 season.
Beloit then travels to Grinnell College in Iowa on September 12 to play the Pioneers before opening their home season on Saturday, September 19, against Lawrence University at Strong Stadium for the Homecoming Game. The game will also be the first of five Midwest Conference North Division games.
After playing at Lake Forest College on September 26 and home vs. Monmouth College on October 3 the Buccaneers have a bye week on October 10.
They finish up the season with four straight MWC North games after the bye – at Macalester College on October 17, vs. St. Norbert College on October 24, at Ripon College on October 31, and vs. Carroll University for Senior Day on November 7.
The Bucs will then host a to-be-determined opponent on November 14 for the second MWC Championship Weekend game.
All told the Buccaneers have five home and five away games for the season.
Beloit is coming off a 3-7 record in the 2014 season which included home wins over Grinnell and Lake Forest and a season-ending victory at Knox College on MWC Championship Weekend.
