Rain And Scots Too Much For Bucs

October 14, 2017

Beloit, WI -- In a torrential downpour, the Buccaneers and Fighting Scots played a full 90 minutes of pivotal MWC action at Strong Stadium. The Scots were able to bury two past the Buc goalie Kaitlyn Erickson in the first half.

Final Score from Strong Stadium - Monmouth College 2 Beloit College 0.

What started as a rain delay and ended with a very swampy field, the Scots; Jacie Reis and Kara Jade-Gordon, put scored early and held on through the rain for the win.

Junior Forward Genesis Dade tried her best to hit her normal flow, chipping in 6 shots to lead the Bucs, with 3 on frame.

Courtney Ceurvorst lead the Bucs with ample looks on frame, amassing 7 total corner kicks to try and set the Buccaneer shooters up the best she could.

In net for the Bucs, Kaitlyn Erickson went the distance, registering 5 saves while allowing the 2 Fighting Scot goals.

For the Scots, securing the shut-out, Kensey Arlt played the full 90, making 4 saves.

The Bucs have a quick turnaround. Due to the field becoming unplayable, tomorrows match against Illinois College is moved to the Sportscore Athletic Complex, and will begin at 8 AM.
