Appleton, WI -- A season high offensive output in their last game of the season lifted the Bucs over the Lawrence University Vikings by a score of 7-0.
The Bucs registered highs in goals, shots, and shots on goal offensively, all the while holding the Vikings to 7 total shots, and only 1 on goal. This is also the 3rd shutout for Beloit this season.
Candace Cunningham started off the onslaught for the Bucs at the 4 minute mark, burying her first of two goals on the afternoon. Cunningham's 2nd, at the 53rd minute, was assisted by Hannah Metcalfe.
Just two and a half minutes later, Kayla Erickson would up the score to 2-0.
Then, starting at the 31st minute, ever-present junior forward Genesis Dade stepped up, and scored the first of her natural hat-trick. Dade scored goals at the 31st, 47th, and 49th minutes; her first goal was assisted by senior Jordyn Murch. Dade finished the afternoon with 9 shots, and 6 on goal.
Cunningham's 2nd goal would follow, and at the 70th minute, Lilli Hagg added one more for the Buccaneer shooters, burying one off an assist from senior Tegan Rock.
This game wraps the 2017 season for the Beloit College Women's Soccer team. The Bucs finished 6-12, and 2-7 in MWC play, adding to the win total from last season.
