Monmouth, Ill. -- The Bucs got within a single point of securing their first win of the season, falling 5-4 to the host Fighting Scots in Monmouth, Ill.
Meghan Davis and Priya Heinen won their singles match-ups over Emma Johanns and McKenzie DeVilder, respectively.
Rose Williams pushed her singles competition to the very edge, falling to Natalie Curtis (6-4)(6-3).
In doubles, the Bucs really made their push for their first win, and first MWC win at that. Kiri Youngquist and Meghan Davis defeated Katherine Hinman and Emma Johanns (9-7).
Emma Hahn and Rose Williams played their best of the season, defeating the Scots Natalie Curtis and Haley Johnston (8-4).
The 3rd doubles match-up went the way of the Fighting Scots, but the Buc pairing of Priya Heinen and Hayden Lamphere pushed it to the edge, falling 5-8 to McKenzie DeVilder and Morgan Holle.
