Galesburg, Ill. - The Bucs women's soccer team couldn't find any offensive flow against the Knox College Prairie Fire, falling 0-6.
The 2nd of a back-to-back road weekend in the MWC proved to be a daunting task and exercise in endurance for both the Men's and Women's programs, as they were traveling partners down to Galesburg on Sunday.
Unfortunately, the Bucs couldn't quite wake up their feet, as the Prairie Fire limited the Bucs to only 5 shots, 2 of them being on frame.
For the Bucs, sophomore Hannah Metcalfe and freshman Fasha Kahalelehua found the net with their efforts, only to be saved by the three Prairie Fire goalies who saw time against the Bucs.
In net, freshman Connor Keegan-Lloyd kept her starting streak going, playing in the first 61:24, allowing 6 goals, while making 6 saves. Freshman goalie Kaitlyn Erickson finished the game for the Bucs with 28:36 of action, making 2 saves.
Beloit would finish being out-shot by Knox 25-5, and 6-0 on corner kicks.
The Bucs will use this week to rest up and recharge, as they are off until this Saturday. Beloit will return home to the friendly confines of Strong Stadium, as they host Cornell College on the 30th, kickoff at 1:00 PM.
