Grinnell, IA -- The Buccaneers dropped one on the road, of their first MWC double-header, to Grinnell College this afternoon, 5-3.
Freshman goalie Connor Keegan-Lloyd stood on her head once again, making 13 saves, but the Bucs weren't able to overcome the 5 goals Grinnell scored, 4 in the first, and a final score in the 84th minute, to put it away.
As always, Junior forward Genesis Dade made her mark on the pitch, putting in two for the Bucs, at the 75th minute, and on a PK at the 85th. She finished a clean 100% shooting, with 2 shots, both on goal, for 2 goals.
The other score for Beloit came off of the foot of defender Raine Loewen-Thomas, unassisted, only 2 minutes into the match.
Beloit would finish being out shot by Grinnell 29-7, with the Pios putting 18 on frame to the Bucs 7.
For Grinnell, Regan Kasprak went the distance in net, making 4 saves, while allowing 3 goals.
Beloit falls to 3-5, and 0-1 in the MWC. Their second leg of the MWC double-header is tomorrow in IL, against Knox College.
