Beloit, WI -- University of Wisconsin - Platteville came away from Strong Stadium with a 3-1 win over Beloit College today.
The Pioneers scored quick off of the first kick, putting one past freshman goalie Connor Keegan-Lloyd at the 2nd minute.
The Bucs would battle back and pressure the Pioneers all game, and all over the pitch. Junior Forward Genesis Dade did what she does best, and beat her defender 1 on 1, in close, and wrapped a shot around Platteville's goalie for a score in the 55th minute.
Unfortunately, that would be the last marker for the Bucs, as they were stifled by Platteville's defense for the rest of the game. The Bucs would stay right with the Pioneer's in the shot category, only two behind, 14-12. However, the Buc's boots were unable to find the frame.
The Pioneer's Forward Anna Sobel had the sure footing all day long, notching all three of Platteville's goals. Her game-winner, and insurance marker, came at the 80th, and 87th minute, respectively.
Beloit has a quick turnaround, as they host the Benedictine University Eagles tomorrow, back at home, at 3:00 PM.
