Milwaukee, WI -- The Bucs dropped their first game of the MSoE Invitational to the hosting Raiders in four sets, 3-1. The final scores were (25-18)(25-23)(21-25)(25-21).
The Bucs won the third set while the Raiders took the first, second, and deciding fourth. The Bucs kept it close throughout the contest, bringing the sets within two, three, or four points at times, but the Raiders were able to come out on top.
Beloit had a block party for most of the game, registering 7 total team blocks compared to MSoE's 1.
Freshman Eva Laun-Smith and Sophomore Amanda Baran were the only Bucs to hit double digit kills, with Baran also registering one service ace.
Junior Libero Abby Gessell added a team high 25 digs, with Sophomore Paige Wimbrow right behind, registering 18 of her own.
Beloit's second game of the night is against Maranatha Baptist, starting at 6 PM.
