Bucs Run 6th, 9th at Benedictine; Koenig, Torres Both Finish 6th

Warrenville, IL -- The Beloit College Cross Country team returned to the course for the first time since the Olde English Classic and saw the Women finish sixth and the Men ninth at the Benedictine University Eagle Invite at St. James Farm Friday.

Emma Koenig and Alberto Torres led their respective teams with sixth-place finishes.  Daniel Arkes was eighth for the Men.

Augustana College won the Women's race while co-top-ranked North Central College captured the Men's.

Rounding out the scoring for the Women were Ellie Waddle in 11th, Emily Sneed in 41st, Jamie Manchen in 45th and Melissa Pelkey in 51st.  For the Men behind Torres and Arkes were Charles Sandberg in 58th, Forrest Lloyd in 67th and Joe Peacock in 70th.

Beloit competes at the Wisconsin Private Colleges Meet on the Wayne Dannehl National Course in Somers, Wisconsin, next Saturday.  The Men run at 11:30 a.m. followed by the Women.
