Buccaneer Cross Country Brings Home Five All-MWC Performers; Men 4th, Women 7th at MWC Championships

October 31, 2015

Cedar Rapids, IA -- The Beloit College Cross Country team had plenty of representation on the award stand at the 2015 Midwest Conference Cross Country Championship Saturday.

Run at Noelridge Park, Beloit had three Men's All-MWC honorees while the Women's team had two earn All-MWC laurels.

Jacob Gray, Alberto Torres and George Gray finished 3-5-7 to lead the Men to a fourth-place team finish, the team's best since they finished fourth in 2006.  Forrest Lloyd finished 43rd and Daniel Arkes 51st to account for the Bucs' scoring.

Anna Wenzel was fifth and Ellie Waddle sixth to lead the Women to a seventh-place finish (they were actually tied with Carroll University for sixth but fell to seventh due to a tiebreaker).  Emma Koenig finished 23rd, Jamie Manchen 46th and Emily Sneed 57th to wrap up the Buccaneers' scoring.

The squads now have two weeks before they run at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional in Rock Island, Illinois, on November 14.  Action begins at 11:00 a.m.
