Cross Country: Men tie for 2nd, Women Run 4th at Benedictine Invite

Warrenville, IL -- The Beloit College Cross Country team had another good outing Friday, with the Men tying for second and the Women finishing fourth at the Benedictine University Eagle Invite, run at St. James Farm Forest Preserve.

The Men tied with Northwestern University, both behind Aurora University, while the Women came in behind winner North Central, Aurora and St. Mary's College on Indiana.

Jacob Gray led the Men with a third-place finish followed by brother George Gray in sixth.  Alberto Torres was 17th, Josh Smith 25th and Daniel Arkes 28th.

Ellie Waddle finished second for the Women with Anna Wenzel in fifth.  Jamie Manchen was 24th, Melissa Pelkey 27th and Emily Sneed 35th.

Beloit runs at the Wisconsin Private Schools Meet next Saturday in Cudahy, Wisconsin, in their final tune-up before the Midwest Conference Championships on October 31
