La Crosse, WI -- An exciting, successful season ended for the Beloit College Baseball team Thursday morning at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional in an 8-1 loss to the College of St. Scholastica in an elimination game.
The loss completed one of the best seasons ever for the Bucs, who finished 27-14 overall, tied for the second-most victories in a season in the program's long history. In addition to the win total, Beloit shared the Midwest Conference North Division title and won their second MWC Championship.
Thursday, the game was scoreless until the Saints plated four runs in the top of the fourth, putting together four hits and a walk.
