Buccaneer Baseball Recruit Named Co-MVP of All-Star Game

July 13, 2015

Chicago, IL -- Jalen Davis of De La Salle Institute in Chicago, a 2015 recruit for the Beloit College Baseball team, earned co-Most Valuable Player honors in the annual Catholic League-Public League All-Star Game, held recently at U.S. Cellular Field, home of the Chicago White Sox.

Davis went 2-2 in the game, scoring twice and driving in three runs in the 13-2 Catholic League win.  He shared MVP honors with Marty Bechina of St. Rita of Cascia High School, a Michigan State recruit.

Davis laid down a sacrifice bunt in the first inning, had an RBI single to left in the third and a two-run single to center in the fourth.

The Bucs open their 2016 schedule, the 26th for Head Coach Dave DeGeorge, in early March on the annual Spring Trip.
