Yearlong, students enjoy experiences to put their classroom knowledge to work. It's one of of the most visible components to the Liberal Arts in Practice. Other pieces of the process include a different kind of advising and reflection of the experiences, but that's a story for an other day. Take a look at a few exciting and recent ways Beloit students are learning to put feet on their education.

Students from a variety of disciplines will spend the day in Chicago learning from alumni about the various fields in the sciences. They will start the day at Argonne National Laboratory and then head over to Rush University Medical Center. Alumni are invited to share their stories at a networking reception at Rush in the Searle Conference Center.

Beloit College’s Wright Museum of Art has received a $4,629 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. The grant will aid the museum in preservation efforts of its vast print and drawing collection that includes work by such artists as Rembrandt and Picasso.
