Douglas Ross Morton
Class of 1941
Surgeon – Medical Researcher
Your classmates gathered on the campus to observe the twenty-fifth anniversary of their graduation remember you as one of the greatest swimmers in Beloit’s history. Your former professors remember you as one of their most promising students. You already have lived up to those promises by your distinguished career in the field of surgery, by your work in cancer research, by your contributions in scientific and professional journals, and by your many positions of leadership among your colleagues. You have pursued your studies at many institutions; Beloit is proud to have given you your first degree, and now to present you this Distinguished Service Citation.
The text of the distinguished service citation for this alumna/us is missing from the Beloit College archives, therefore, the aforementioned is an excerpt from the citation, which was printed in the Beloit College Magazine, 1966.
