Glenne Roy McArthur

Class of 1916

45th Reunion Award

Utilities Executive, Masonic Leader

Native of our nearby community of Janesville, you have achieved distinction and fame in your adopted state of North Dakota where for thirty years you have guided the destinies of the Northwestern Public Utilities Company.

You have achieved national distinction in Masonic circles, climaxing less than twenty-four hours ago when you were made Grand Sovereign of the United Grand Imperial Council of Knights of the Red Cross of Constantine at Miami, Florida.

Your interest in higher education has been expressed by your devoted service as a trustee of both Huron and Yankton Colleges and by your membership in the Advisory Council of the School of Business at the University of South Dakota; your own community has recognized your civic leadership by naming you Huron’s “Man of the Year”; you are now named unofficial “Man of the Class” as you return to join 1916 classmates in celebrating the 45th anniversary of their graduation.  Please accept this Distinguished Service Citation as Beloit College’s recognition of your many accomplishments and the honor your service has  brought to it.
